This is my first article, and so I would like to start with a basic understanding of Machine learning. To be simple, Machine Learning(ML) is nothing but a subfield of Artificial Intelligence(AI) that focuses on teaching computers to learn and make predictions or decisions without humans’ help.
In today’s data-driven world, ML has become increasing across various industries. We have started to interact and live with technology. But how does ML work? It learns patterns and insights from vast amounts of data in order to make accurate predictions.
Let me explain to you with a real-time example. You must have experienced your email service provider separating spam emails. How does it happen?
ML analyses patterns in email content, sender information, and user behaviour. The algorithm learns to distinguish and slowly picks up the speed in terms of accuracy over time.
There are three types of ML. They are supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement ML. Supervised ML is training the model with labelled examples whereas, Unsupervised ML explores patterns and structures with unlabelled data without human guidance. Reinforcement is a very different one. It interacts with the environment and receives feedback.
