Story 2
I am happy being an extrovert who interacts with new people and always has friends wherever I go. On the last day of my trip, we arrived at the railway station three hours early as our activities had ended sooner than expected. My friends went for dinner, and I voluntarily stayed at the station to take care of all the luggage.
Next to me, an old man was sitting, I just interacted as I usually do. He said he is an actor. I was surprised coz Kerala is new to me but at least locals should be recognising by taking pictures or speaking to him. I asked, “Are you a side artist?”. He replied with a no and said he had acted as a hero and “Manimuzhakkam” was his blockbuster film. I found the talk interesting and introduced myself featuring my writing, podcasts, etc. I had never met such a gentleman before. He shared his contact number with me and also told me his address in Chennai.
He had acted in 50 films and done over 1000 voice dubbing, winning national awards along the way. He told me that until 2005, he was in Chennai and had worked with Kannadhasan Sir, a renowned poet, for a long time.
At the age of 82, he drives a scooter and lives independently. Also showed me his invitation to some Malayalam Filmfare awards and explained to me where he was going and what would happen there. He talked about the importance of acting and gave me a lot of valuable tips. By the time my friends returned with biscuits and juice for me, I felt enriched by the conversation.
Then the train arrived, and Hari uncle said goodbye to me. I offered to help carry his luggage to the train, but he said he could handle it and that he was not old.
It was honestly a lifetime moment I will never forget. Meeting him as a stranger and having such a great conversation was incredible. He appreciated my profile and all my work, which meant a lot to me. Sharing contact and address meant a lot here to me. A short conversation made a meaningful relationship. In case, Hari uncle is reading this I would just like to say you are inspiring to me, uncle. Your life advice means a lot to me as a youngster.
Wherever I go, I have friends or a circle that forms around me. Thanks for every moment that makes my life cherishing.
